The SCPD Alumni Association awards
college scholarships annually, including the John L & Elizabeth
Barry memorial and Chief John Biscardi memorial scholarships. These are
awarded annually to the children, step-children, grandchildren, or
great-grandchildren of our active members. |
2023 Barry Scholarship Recipients
Listed below are the recipients and their sponsors of this year’s John Barry Scholarship awards. We wish to thank all those members of our association who donated to this fund, without whose help these annual scholarship awards would not be possible.
- Elizabeth Wagner, granddaughter of James Woods, is the recipient of the first $1000 Scholarship Award.
- Michael Hempfling, grandson of William Lankenan, is the recipient of the second $1000 Scholarship Award.
- Aidan Dempsey, grandson of John O’Connor, is the recipient of the third $1000 Scholarship Award.
- Jake Walch, grandson of Robert Walch, is the recipient of the fourth $1000 Scholarship Award.
- Nichole Arceri, granddaughter of Thomas Arceri, is the recipient of the fifth $1000 Scholarship Award.
